Burdette Log Jam removed and river left bank was stabilized using woody debris and erosion controls

State of Ohio Dept of Natural Resources awarded a grant to conduct a 44 mile float of creek documenting hazards and points of concern. This was completed by River Rangers International with a 700 page document full of photos and logistics pointing out the problems.
October 2024
Application was submitted to MWCD’s Partners in Watershed Program to remove the Milarcik log jam. This obstruction is very large and involves two large cement piers that long ago carried a now abandoned rail line. MWCD is currently evaluating this submission.

Stillwater Watershed Partners LLC is a 501c3 non profit organization established in March of 2022.
We are group of landowners that organized around a common goal to bring attention to the condition of the Stillwater Watershed that drains parts of five counties in eastern Ohio.
The watershed flows north from Belmont and Guernsey encompassing Harrison, Carroll, and Tuscarawas County.
